What are your Halloween plans? Are you hosting a big monster mash? Or maybe just a quiet night with some friends and scary movies? No party is complete without wine and if you are planning a spooky bash for Halloween, these are the wines to serve!
American Mummy Moscato
From a winery in my home state of Wisconsin, this moscato from Door Peninsula Winery will satisfy a variety of pallets!
This wine is served best chilled. It has aromas of honey, apple, and pear.
It is very refreshing with notes of orange blossom, honey, and melon and has a smooth texture.
My boyfriend is just starting to get into wine and develop his pallet and he really enjoyed this wine. We finished the bottle in one night while carving pumpkins!
Gnarly Head
This spooky Zinfandel is from California and is a luscious, bold wine that is sure to please your red wine loving guests.
Gnarly Head Zinfandel is a semi-dry and bold wine. It has notes of oak, blackberry, and spices, and a hint of vanilla. This wine would pair well with dark chocolate!
With low tannins and slight acidity, this wine isn’t too dry, but is the driest of these three Halloween wines.
19 Crimes: The Banished
19 Crimes wine is your source for spooky stories at your Halloween bash. Each wine from 19 Crimes has a different criminal on the bottle which comes to life on your phone and tells the story of the criminal.
This Dark Red wine is from South Eastern Australia and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Syrah.
It has notes of plum, vanilla, cherry, oak, and spices. It is a bold red with low tannins and is not very dry.
This wine entertains in two ways: by being easy to drink and by bringing criminal stories to life!
To bring the wine label to life, just download the app LivingWineLabels, select 19 Crimes, and hold your phone up to the wine bottle!
