If you are anything like me when I first started exploring wine, you narrow your wine down in 2 steps: color then label. I wanted to have someone to look at the wines I’ve liked in the past, and tell me what I would enjoy.

What Is Winc?

After you answer questions about your tastes, you can choose the number of reds and whites you want in your box. I did 3 reds and 1 white to start.
You can adjust the numbers from month to month and you can also skip a month if your budget is tight {helloooo college students!}
What I Thought
After taking the quiz, Winc sent me a Rosé, 2 reds and a white. It shipped very fast which I really appreciated! It even came a day before FedEx said it would! The packaging made sure the precious wine stayed safe and was also convenient for the customer because there was a handle on the top of the box!
Along with the bottles of wine, I received a Winc magazine about their wines, information about their Winc Shares program, a sheet about the winemakers, and a little notice that I will be getting one of their “top shelf” wines in my next box! How cool!
Now to the important part…the wine.
The Wine
The first wine I tried was the Rosé. It is still feeling summery here in Wisconsin {surprisingly} so I figured I would wrap up summer with this crisp Rosé!
This wine is called Sauvetage and it’s vintage is 2018 and made in France. I loved the label on it! So cute and summery!
It is light-bodied and has aromas of honey and apple. I could really taste the apple and also some strawberry. It is semi-sweet, not too sweet and not too dry. Perfect wine to bring to the beach or on the boat!
Overall Experience
Winc is definitely an online wine subscription I will stay in. As a company, they are friendly and really care that their customers have the best wine experience. Usually when I go to the store to pick out wine, I just pick out a Cabernet Sauvignon, but with Winc, they can kind of force me to step out of my comfort zone and discover more wines that I like!
